Delta Copilot Arrested in Cockpit Moments After Landing in San Francisco

A Delta flight from Minneapolis landed at San Francisco Airport on July 26—but what followed shocked everyone onboard.

Just moments after touchdown at 9:35 p.m., nearly 10 officers stormed the aircraft and entered the cockpit.

To passengers' surprise, the officers handcuffed and removed one of the copilots right from the cockpit.

The arrest was reportedly part of an ongoing investigation assisted by Homeland Security and Contra Costa County authorities.

A passenger described the dramatic moment as "traumatic"—officers in plainclothes and badges took the copilot down the aisle.

No name has been released yet for the detained copilot. His fellow pilot appeared equally surprised by the arrest.

Footage showed federal agents and possible air marshals involved in the arrest, leaving everyone on board confused.

"Everyone was shocked and stunned," one traveler said, adding she "jumped in the car and cried" after getting picked up.
